We all could go for a little bit of self care right about now. It’s been weeks since our last hair or beauty appointment and if you’re anything like me, you probably miss the chance to get out of the house for a bit.
It’s easy to know that you need to do self care, but not as easy to find the time to do it. It’s important to schedule intentional self care time into your routine so that you don’t forget to take that time for yourself. This is especially true when there are little kids running around and everybody is getting so tired of being indoors all the time.
Answer these three questions in order to stick to your self care goals:
1. What will my self care activity be today? If you need help or inspiration thinking of something, I made a list that you can use! Take a look at the photo below and choose something you can do at home.
2. When will my self care activity occur? You’ll need to decide if you’ll be doing this after the kids go to bed, in the morning, or some other time of day. Set your alarm so that you don’t forget when it’s time to start your “me-time”.
3. Do I need any special items for my activity? If you’re doing an at home spa day, you might need to find a bucket to soak your feet in, or some Epsom salts. Whatever you are going to do, make sure you have everything you need so that your self care time is relaxed and refreshing. Nothing is more frustrating than wasting 30 minutes trying to find what you need!
Because I know how important self care is for mental and physical wellbeing, I’ve decided to host a few online self care parties for the month of May to help with what feels like an endless quarantine. Every Friday for the five Fridays in May, I will go online to for a facial party and I’d love for you to join me.
For my self care, I will be going through my daily skincare routine. If you want to follow along and use the same products that I am using I will send you some samples completely free! You’ll have something to look forward to in the mail and when they arrive you can hop on the party night that works best for you!
If you feel too tired or worn out to come on the party, you can always join us with your camera turned off. There is no pressure or judgement, come as you are.
